The effectiveness of a TENS treatment depends on a number of factors: quality of the device, of course, but also the electrodes you use. Are you using the right electrodes for what you want to achieve, and are they suitable for your device at all?
One of our best-selling electrodes is the standard 50mm x 50mm. Because of its fairly compact square size, it is very versatile. This electrode can be used in a wide variety of places on your body, and thanks to its 2mm or 3.5mm connection, it is compatible with most EMS and TENS devices on the market.
While you can actually do little wrong with that versatile electrode, there are some complaints or applications for which specific electrodes are better suited.

Special V-shape or butterfly electrode for the neck
If you want to use your TENS device to address neck pain, we recommend our V-shape or butterfly electrodes developed especially for the neck. Thanks to the special V-shape (110mm x 140mm) or butterfly shape (95mm x 150mm), you only need to apply one electrode instead of four (if you use the standard 50mm x 50mm electrodes). The special shape simultaneously ensures uniform distribution and excellent conduction of the current signal. So you will reach the pain area much better and treat it more efficiently.
Small, round electrodes for very targeted treatment
Our round electrodes (available in two sizes: 32mm and 70mm) are specially designed to treat trigger points in a very targeted way. These are very small muscle cramps that cause a kind of knot in your muscles. The round electrodes are also particularly suitable for the small muscles in our face and are often used for anti-ageing and anti-wrinkle treatments and as a treatment for headaches and stress.
Larger electrode pads for larger body parts
If you want to treat larger areas on your body, it can be useful to uselarger electrodes. For example, our rectangular electrode pads can be used for the back, but they are also mouldable so they can be used on irregular body contours.
